Inspiration around home

In an effort to stay inspired, not sit around eating so much and get some ideas flowing for a creative project, I have had the camera out documenting the outdoor surroundings of our new home. The fact that it's very old, backs onto woodlands and that it's not ours makes it even more interesting. Everything you see feels like a visual discovery because you weren't the one to put it there or consciously create these compositions. Things that have been stacked away no longer used, broken and cast aside make the greenhouse feel like exploring a big secret antique store, the best part being you can stay as long as you like.

Exploration begins
Woodland patterns
Gypsy caravan playhouse
Floral and gold
Gorgeous hand-painted glass
Crystal treasures
Vines taking over the house

Christmas in the Cotswolds

Christmas this year was a far cry from beaches and BBQ's but an English Christmas is lovely in it's own way. It's cosy and country cottage with chutneys, cheese platters, mistletoe, turkey, wreaths, fires roaring and shops decked out with a wintery Christmas feel. The cobbled streets of the Cotswolds add to this charm and I really enjoyed wandering around the shops checking it all out and celebrating with English style 5 course meals! All the while I missed my gorgeous family and friends, hopefully next year will be back at the beach. Check out some pics below xox
